Murcia:
The region of Murcia is situated on the Costa Calida (which translates to The Warm Coast) between Costa Blanca and Costa de Almeria. The Convent Church of Santa Ana is 18th century and is the third church to be built on this site, the original being 1490. Here you can try the freshly baked cakes, made by the nuns and served through a revolving hatch. The Church of San Miguel is an 18th century church, which has wonderful coloured altar-pieces. The Almudi dates from 1602 and houses the art centre and city archives.
In all, Murcia has everything to offer the visitor and you can almost certainly guarantee that no matter what time of year you visit, you will be wrapped up in some kind of fiesta or celebration. You will find the people pleasant and friendly towards tourists.

Fortuna is nestled around hot springs, some 30km north of Murcias historic capital and about 60km from the Mediterranean.

Arriving by air in Fortuna from the UK is straightforward with Alicantes El Altet Airport 60km to the northeast and Murcias San Javier Airport 83km to the southeast. Both airports are a short 2.5 hour flight from the UK and there are numerous daily charter and scheduled services.
It is a straight-forward drive to the Villa from Alicante airport,just 45 minutes,mostly on the motorway.
Within 3 minutes walk from Las Kalendas villa there is the local bar/cafe and restaurant-"La Carcerella".This opens at 8am until 11pm (often later) everyday-except Sunday nights.There is live music and often dancing here every Saturday night.This establishment runs a nightclub "Rumors" in the Summer.
There is also another pub near this with a Mini-market/grocery shop,which is open 7 days a week up here.

There is another mini-market down by Spa hotels and campsites,about 20 mins walk from Villa Kalendas.There are many pubs and restaurants within walking distance around 3 Spa Hotels and 2 Campsites.Great value and good Spanish food and wine served.
Within a 5 minutes drive, in the town of Fortuna there are large supermarkets, and numerous other outlets.There are rumoured to be over 100 bars in Fortuna.

Within a 5km radius, there are a number of local restaurants and cafes all around the hills providing a tranquil setting with inexpensive food and wine.

Situated some 3 Km. inland from its port, 'Port de Sóller', the town lies in a large, fertile, bowl-shaped valley. Sóller shares its valley with the village of Fornalutx and the hamlet of Biniaraix, the combined population is around 13,000, and the valley is famous for its orange groves and terraces of ancient olive trees. The village of Deià is just down the coast.
Sóller and the port are about half an hour's drive from Palma Airport, and have good connections with railway, tram and bus services. The valley and its surrounding mountain range, the 'Serra de Tramuntana', a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a favourite destination for people from all over the world, especially those who enjoy walking, nature, ecotourism, swimming or simply a peaceful rest away from the hustle and bustle of the better-known tourist traps.
The local language is Mallorcan, a dialect of Catalan, and everyone speaks fluent Spanish as well. It is not uncommon for people to speak at least a little English and/or French. It is polite to say 'Bon dia' (Good day in Mallorcan) to people you meet away from crowded areas.

Having said this, there is no reason not to walk in the mountains, just a real need to be well prepared, to be aware of the weather, and to stick to the paths. It is also a good idea to carry a mobile phone and a whistle.

Moraira
Moraira is a pretty fishing village, with strict building regulations in force, so there are no high rise buildings here. The fishermen still go out early in the morning to catch fresh fish to sell later that day at the traditional fish market. The people are renowned for their friendliness and with a coastline that stretches for 8km you will not be spoilt for a choice of bars or excellent restaurants. You can walk along the palm fringed seafront past the castle and numerous beaches, choose from rocks, pebbles or sand. The main sandy beach lAmpolla is situated at the foot of the castle and is patrolled by lifeguards, there are excellent facilities here including childrens play area, restaurants, bar and various watersports. El Portet beach also has fine sand and crystal clear water, and has been presented with the Blue Flag Award for cleanliness. 
Moraira also has a very good market weekly with lots of bargains for avid shoppers as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

Calpe
Calpe is a coastal town and resort situated approximately 45 minutes drive north of Alicante International Airport. Steeped in history and culture, the Old Town is especially interesting with museums, picturesque little streets and squares with many tapas bars and restaurants. Calpe is a friendly fishing village which sits close to the Rock of Ifach on a hill rising up from the last spurs of the sierra Bernia in the middle of Spains Costa Blanca, a geographical marvel that provides access to the northernmost towns of Alicantes Marina district. It is an authentic tourist site, with a coastline boasting sandy beaches, cliff faces in some areas and an ancient salt mine, which all give the town a peculiar flavour of its own. Calpe is overlooked by the towering Penon de Ifach which juts out into the sea and rises to over 1000 ft.

Perfect 10 minutes downhill walking distance to the 8 km long beach. Good walking possibilities in safe surrounding. Cheap (6-10€) to come and go to hectic Fuengirola city centre by taxi.

Only 20 km from the Malaga Airport. On Costa del Sol there are LOTS of ways to enjoy of the holiday; playgrounds for children, big shopping centre, small boutiques, restaurants, pubs, discotheques, internet cafes, water park, crocodile park, zoo, tivoli, Selwo Marina with dolphin show, Selwo safari Adventure, theatre, 56 golf courses on the coast, horse riding, water sports etc. Nearby is a Casino for gamblers. 
Dinner possibilities can be chosen from Indian, Chinese, English, Japanese, Scandinavian, Italian etc. restaurants. There are lots of pubs in Fuengirola most of them have nice programs, karaoke or plays. Some have flamenco nights.

Fuengirola is very international but same time you can find unspoiled narrow lanes in the city center. The marina can be found alongside the traditional fishermen port where you can still see daily catches being taken ashore.
From Fuengirola you drive in ten minutes to white Andalucian villages. Or if you want to see "the rich and beautiful" you are in 20 minutes in Marbella and in 25 minutes in Puerto Banus. There you can see fabulous yachts and cars. Fuengirola is a fantastic place to spend your vacation.
On Christmas time the villa is fully decorated.
